Are the academic teachers at IQRA SCHOOL qualified?

Yes, all of our academic teachers are qualified.

Do you teach Islamic Studies, Qur’an, and/or Arabic?

Yes, we teach all of them! However, as we are a government-approved school, we are only allowed a certain amount of time every day to teach extra-curricular subjects. As such, we alternate between Islamic Studies, Qur’an, and Arabic throughout the week.

In which grades does IQRA SCHOOL admit new students?

We’re always on the lookout for new talent. We try to admit new students across all grades every year. However, due to a large volume of applications, we are not able to accommodate all applicants. We encourage parents to start the application process as early as possible. Most grades are full by the time the summer rolls in.

At Iqra Islamic School, we serve the Manitoba community with students from Nursery to Grade 10 across our three Winnipeg campuses. Our buses transport students to and from every corner of the city, serving neighborhoods like River Heights, Bridgwater, St. Vital, St. James, East Kildonan, and many more. Students benefit from advanced technology, using Apple iPads in Grades 3-5 and Apple MacBooks in Grades 6-10. They enjoy exciting field trips to places like Vancouver, Calgary, Banff, and various locations within Manitoba. We also offer athletics through the University of Winnipeg RecPlex and provide Qur’an and Islamic Studies taught by native Arab speakers in a nurturing environment where Muslim friendships flourish.
